From where do u hail

Hello everyone,

It's obvious we all associate with different parts of the world, so I wanted to know exactly which country or countries everyone relates to, either because you're from that country or your family's from there. Let me know...

Great idea! My family is from Andhra Pradesh, South India. My parents are from the same state, but speak different languages and have totally different customs & religions and cuisines!

Hi Grace, I like idea! My dad's family is from Central Mexico. I was born in Celaya, Guanajuato Mexico and moved to South Texas when I was 4. My Mom's side of the family comes from various parts of Europe and has been in the US for many years.

Hello Grace,

Love your blog. Both of my parents were born and raised in Los Angeles, as was I. My father's family is African-American (African, French, Native-American mixture), from Alexandria, Louisiana. My mother's family is mostly Italian, from northen Italy, with a little English thrown in to stir the pot.

I really like your idea! My father is British and my mother is Austrian. But if you ask me, I identify with my Austrian and Polish roots most.

I love this...
Greece, Armenia (former Soviet Union). I'm partly Greek, mostly Armenian. My grandfather was born in Turkey (Ismir), escaped to Greece as an infant after the 1915 Genocide, met my Greek grandmother in Thessaloniki in the North of Greece (historical Macedonia) and they moved to Soviet Armenia after WWII.

Hi Grace -

Both my paternal grandparents are German. They met during WW2 (on different sides of the fight), fell in love and he flew her to St. Louis at the age of 18 for marriage.

My maternal grandpa is Sicilian, first generation in America. My great-grandpa was a goatherd in Sicily who worked to send his family one by one to the 'land of opportunity' (my grandpa went on to become a successful doctor who also served in the House of Representatives, championing the 'little man'). My maternal grandma is Irish.

I guess this isn't exactly what you asked, but I'm kinda boring - born in Chicago, IL and moved to Manhattan Beach CA when I was 3... raised there, then USC...
